The Philadelphia Museum of Art was the best museum that we visited during our Philly trip last weekend. It was absolutely massive, requiring us to put in 4 hours to clear the whole museum because we were exploring all the levels as well as reading all the displays.

With the main museum building completed in 1928, the museum has over 240,000 objects including major holdings of European, AMerican, and Asian origin. We are talking sculptures, paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, and even actual suits of medieval armor.

Within the Philadelphia Museum of Art, its annexes contain sub museums including the Rodin Museum and the Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building. Special exhibits are held in the museum every year and as of 2021, it was the 65th most-visited museum worldwide.
