What can we do/What is inside the Cisco SX20 Codec Teleconference unit?

Upon receiving this unit a few years back I have always wanted to run it as a thin client, or even just a headless computer doing something/ANYTHING!!! Well, to say that Cisco know how to lock down hardware is an understatement. Despite this unit not being patched for vulnerabilities, we could scroll the file system but were unable to load a new OS of any flavour. So here's what the guts look like, maybe it will help someone get further than our team but the TL;DR is: scrap metal the case and recycle the PCB, its not worthwhile to fight with.
