Building a Pigeon Loft – Ultimate Upland

After shopping for pre-built and pre-cut kits, we just decided we could build a pigeon loft from the ground up that would better serve our needs.

I'm a tall guy, ease of access is important as well as the comfort of our flock. These will be training birds, homing pigeons, that will need to be able to fly strong and return to the loft from training areas a few miles away.

This is my first time caring for pigeons. If everything goes to plan it will make training easier and more consistent for the dogs. But the first step is getting these birds some shelter.

The weather has not been cooperative this spring and now there are just a few short days left before we have birds, so time to put the plan into action.
