ملخص الحكاية : اقترب يوم عيد الأضحى المبارك، فذهب أحمد وأخته ليلى مع أبيهما إلى سوق المواشي لشراء كبش العيد. ولما أحضروه إلى المنزل، ربطه الأب في فناء الدار وأوصى ابنيه بالاعتناء به. أعجب الولدان بخروف العيد واستأنسا به حتى صارا لا يفارقانه فخططا لإخفائه كي لا يذبحه أبوهما يوم العيد. فنفذا خطتهما صبيحة يوم العيد؛ لكن بمجرد عودة أبيهما من المصلى، لم يجد كبش العيد، فصاح وانطلق للبحث عنه في الحي وعند الجيران حتى يئس وفقد الأمل في إيجاده. وفجأة، ...

Le jour de Aïd Al-Adha s’approcha. Ahmed et sa sœur Leïla ont accompagné leur père au marché aux bestiaux pour acheter un mouton. Lorsque ils l’ont amené à la maison, le père l’attacha dans la cour et confia à ses deux enfants la mission de prendre soin de lui. Jour après jour les deux enfants s’attachèrent au mouton et ne le quittèrent plus jusqu’au point de planifier à le cacher pour que leur père ne puisse pas l’égorger le jour de l’Aïd. Après que leur plan fut  exécuté, le pauvre père revint de l’oratoire. When they brought it home, the father tethered it in a corner and entrusted them with the task of taking care of the ram. Day after day, the kids got attached to the animal.
