Agilent Intrinsic Dissolution Apparatus Technique

Based on the modified Woods Apparatus as described in USP 1087, the Intrinsic Dissolution Apparatus includes threaded rings on the inside of the die cavity to prevent the compacted API from falling out of the die cavity during analysis. The apparatus includes a punch used to compress the API into a pellet with the aid of a laboratory press (not provided by Agilent).
