The seminar will interrogate liberal
The seminar will interrogate liberal intervention in humanitarian crisis response focusing on sovereignty, military intervention, the international order and techniques of liberal conflict management.
Speaker:
Philip Cunliffe is Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent. He has written and edited six books examining various dimensions of military intervention, as well as research articles and chapters contributed to scholarly collections. Previously Philip taught in the Defence Studies and War Studies departments of King's College London. His latest book is 'Cosmopolitan Dystopia: International Intervention and the Failure of the West' published by Manchester University Press in 2020.
