Hee hee, I like to think that he woke up from having his nightmare in 1932's black-and-white "Mickey's Nightmare." This is a 1999 clip from House of Mouse's 11th episode where the main piece of the show was Shakespeare's "A Midsummer's Night Dream" with a Disney twist. The end of that episode shows that it really WAS a midsummer dream, just Mickey's, lol. I understand that Walt said that in the animation studios, Mickey and Minnie ARE a married couple, and use their relationship whenever it followed suit in the cartoons (like if it works that they're only dating, or if it works if they're actually husband and wife), EVEN THOUGH we never seen them get married ever in the 80-some years of animation because they also believed that cartoons never should get married. (See an interview of the voice actors for Mickey and Minnie, and they admit that they don't see the couple as married.) And yet, I like to think that they are not married... and this awkward clip shows why.
