I'm reviewing 70831 Emmet's Dream House and Rescue Rocket, a 2-in-1 set from The LEGO Movie 2 and new for 2019. This 706 piece LEGO Movie 2 set features Emmet's dream house and converts into a LEGO Rescue Rocket complete with LEGO Emmet minifigure, Lucy minifigure and Rex Dangervest minifigure, Emmet’s friend Planty and Warrior Kitty figure with alternate sleepy Warrior Kitty build.

70831 Emmet's Dream house is one of the more expensive LEGO Movie 2 sets and I had high expectations. I hoped Emmet's Dream House would be the best of the two builds so I could include this in LEGO Apocalypseburg but it turns out Emmet's Rescue Rocket is the star of this cool LEGO Movie 2 set.
Emmet's Dream House is a classic LEGO construction that opens up to reveal the interior which includes living room, kitchen and attic space where Warrior Kitty is sleeping. Nice touches include Emmet Lucy and Unikitty portraits and a cushion embroidered with E+L 4EVA. Outside, you'll find a water tower and Emmet's workshop complete with a micro-scale version of the rescue rocket and a bunch of other stuff Emmet uses to convert his dream house into rescue rocket.
The 70831 Rescue Rocket is the best of the two builds showing Emmet's Dream House Reimagined as a Rescue Rocket to chase down General Mayhem when she kidnaps Emmet's friends. It's during this chase that Emmet meets Rex Dangervest, his outgoing and arrogant alter-ego. Rescue Rocket is a very cool build and comes complete with spring-loaded shooters and adjustable engines.
In this video I unbox, speed build and review both the LEGO Movie 2 Dream House and Rescue Rocket and take a close up look at the LEGO Emmet minifigure, Lucy minifigure and Rex Dangervest minifigure, plus Emmet’s friend Planty (brick-built) and a buildable Unikitty as Warrior Kitty figure with 2 different facial expressions.
