Top Tips For The Best Visit To Holiday World & Splashing' Safari
Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari is a fantastic family owned theme and water park located in Santa Claus, Indiana.
Opening in the 1940s as Santa Claus Land, the park officially became Holiday World in the 1980s, adding sections themed to different holidays including Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and 4th July.
Holiday World has four world class roller coasters including, Raven & Legend wooden coasters, The Thunderbird launched wing coaster and The Voyage which is the second longest wooden roller coaster in the world.
Splashin’ Safari is the water park which is included in tickets, which features many multi-passenger raft slides so you can ride together with family and friends.
If you are planning to visit holiday World how do you get the most out of a visit?
Lets talk some tips for having your best ever visit.
To really appreciate and get the most out of your visit to holiday world, do allow for a full day on your itinerary.
Make sure you do Splashing’ Safari water park, it is included in your admission ticket and is a great way to break up the day. There are some truly world class waterslides, many of which are on multi-passenger rafts, so I’d recommend d visiting in a group.
Try to visit on a day when the park is open late so you can get some night time rides on the roller coasters, as they will be in complete darkness, which adds an extra level of thrill.
Consider the park’s Hollywood Nights event for roller coaster enthusiasts, that offers the night time rides and many other perks. Visiting the park as part of an organised roller coaster club trip, can also present opportunities not available to regular day guests, and can really enhance a visit.
Holiday World is very value driven, they offer complimentary parking, sun screen, Pepsi beverages, there’s also a free package pick-up service, so anything you buy (at least 2 hours before park close) can be sent to the front of the park to save you carrying it around all day.
