AEF NEFL Eagle Cam 10-2-19: Samson Protects Nest & FIsh from Sub-Adult

A sub-adult visiting the Hamlet nest got a rude awakening when Samson flew in with a fish. The sub-adult high-tailed it off the nest, but did not go far. Samson stayed on nest with his fish, vocalizing his displeasure on and off, while the visitor was still close by—but not seen on cam. The visit lasted over 40 mins, but video was shortened only show highlights of the encounter.  Samson was on high alert until he was sure the sub adult was gone from the immediate area ~ then he was able to enjoy his fish.  A well-deserved prize for defending his nest without hesitation.
