Here is a quick guide on how to catch/Obtain the four classic evolution pokemon in Generation 1, Red, Blue and Yellow. Gengar, Golem, Machamp and Alakazam WITHOUT TRADING :)
You can do that on 3DS VC too.
The two methods used are the Mew and Ditto Glitch.
