A Visit to Tuckerton Seaport, Tuckerton NJ | Explore New Jersey | Summer 2022 | Historic Village

Hi, I’m Mo.
Over the Summer, on a blustery day in August, my husband and I explored The Tuckerton Seaport. The Seaport is located in Tuckerton, NJ, but it was never an actual seaport. Originally it was wetland land that was slated for commercial use, but instead it was turned into a historic seaport with many different types of buildings to illustrate what a vintage seaport would be like. The Seaport also has decoy museum and workshop as well as a surfing museum. Slightly inland and not far from famous resort area, Long Beach Island, The Seaport sits on a beautiful natural waterway. There a few amenities on the seaport site, like a cafe, as well as a lighthouse, a fish ladder, and a Little Free Library!! We also visited a few more little free libraries nearby. The cafe can be accessed without visiting the museum. The museum costs a little to get into and explore, but it's well worth supporting a little local gem like this!

This cafe was really cool, the pancakes were enormous!! The biggest pancakes I have ever seen! They also host live music and poetry readings as well as having a little shop stocked with local goods.
