The 2019 Big Slick Celebrity Weekend - Weekend Highlights

Wow - what a weekend! From the visits and hanging out with the kids, families and staff at Children's Mercy to the Softball Game to the Bowling Tournament to the Party & Auction, the 10th Anniversary of the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend lived up to the hype! More than $2.5MM was raised this year, bringing the grand total over the 10 years of this event to more than $10MM for Children's Mercy! Thank you to our family, friends, celebrity guests, committee members, volunteers, sponsors, partners, donors and everyone else who played a part in making the weekend such a huge success! -Rob, David, Eric, Jason & Paul ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About Big Slick Big Slick started in 2010 as a celebrity poker tournament and party hosted by Kansas City natives and comedic actors Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis to raise money for Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Each year, Riggle, Rudd and Sudeikis invite celebrity friends to participate in the weekend; alumni from years past include Selena Gomez, Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, Johnny Knoxville, John Oliver and many others. Big Slick alumni David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet joined Riggle, Rudd and Sudeikis as official Big Slick co-hosts in 2014. Having recently completed the 10th Anniversary Big Slick Celebrity weekend Big Slick has donated more than $10 million to Children’s Mercy, helping the non-profit hospital explore the benefits of genomics and personalized medicine in cancer treatment, expand its Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and family/play rooms; add entertainment systems to every oncology hospital room; and purchase more than $500K in advanced early detection equipment.
