Understanding Circuit Breaker B, C, and D Trip Curves

Most circuit breakers have two tripping technologies in them which makes the trip curve charts difficult to read. There is a magnetic trip curve for short circuit protection which is where the B, C, and D come from and there is a thermal trip curve which is for our longer duration overload events.
