They enable flow in one direction, which blocks the flow in the opposite direction to prevent pneumatic cylinders from unintentionally deaerating in the event of a pressure drop. This makes them ideal as safety devices in industrial or medical lifting applications like those used in ambulances.
The pilot operated check valve is made of nickel-plated brass and is designed for a working pressure range of 1 to 10 bar and a temperature range of negative 10 to 70 °Celsius. The series is available in four sizes — 1/8, ¼, 3/8 and ½ in. Here we have the 1/8 and ½ inch sizes.
