"The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen" performed by award-winning Scottish singer Iona Fyfe, with Michael Biggins on keyboard. This is a traditional Scottish song written by Mary Webb for a home sick Aberdonian lass who she worked with in a hospital kitchen. Mary Webb was English and lived in London and had never been to Aberdeen, Scotland. This performance was at the Scottish Crannog Centre by Loch Tay, Kenmore in Perthshire on 21st June 2021. Iona Fyfe is a Scottish singer from Huntly, Aberdeenshire, known for singing Scots folk songs and ballads. In 2018, she won "Scots Singer of the Year" at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. In 2020 she won "Scots Performer o' the Year" in the 2020 Awards and Michael won the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the year in 2021.
