2001 was dubbed as Michael Jackson's year of the comeback with his latest album, 'Invincible', finally being released after being postponed for over two years and coming to a final cost of $21 million.
The King of Pop needed to put his musical magic into hyperdrive so to warrant his now exorbitant price tag, and with that in mind a marketing blitz commenced. This included a star-studded televised tribute concert celebrating his 30 years as a solo artist, which became a major media event and attracted the era's biggest names in popular music and entertainment.
