বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মতো হয়ে গেলো ফুটবলারদের নিলাম। ২৬ আগস্ট রাজধানীর হোটেল ইন্টারকন্টিনেন্টালে ১০ ফুটবলারকে তোলা হয় নিলামে। দেশের ফুটবলের সর্বোচ্চ স্তরে খেলার জন্য দল পেয়েছেণ তাদের সবাই।
‘এ’ ক্যাটাগরির খেলোয়াড়দের ভিত্তিমূল্য ছিল ৫ লাখ টাকা। ‘বি’ ক্যাটাগরির ফুটবলারদের দাম শুরু হয় ৪ লাখ থেকে।
নিলামের শুরুটা হয়েছিল মাঝমাঠের খেলোয়াড় চন্দন রায়কে দিয়ে। তাঁকে নিয়ে শুরুতে বেশ কাড়াকাড়িও হলো দলগুলোর ভেতর। চন্দনের ভিত্তিমূল্য ছিল ৫ লাখ টাকা। দলগুলোর আগ্রহে ক্রমেই দাম চড়তে থাকে ১৭ বছর বয়সী মিডফিল্ডারকে ঘিরে। শেষটায় জয় হয়েছে শেখ রাসেলের। ৯ লাখ টাকায় চন্দনকে দলে টানে শেখ রাসেল।
নিলামে দ্বিতীয় ফুটবলার ছিলেন ডিফেন্ডার রুবেল শেখ। ৪ লাখ টাকা ভিত্তিমূল্যের এই খেলোয়াড়কে শুরুতে কোনো আগ্রহই দেখায়নি ক্লাবগুলো। দ্বিতীয় দফায় তাকে ৪ লাখেই কিনেছে ব্রাদার্স ইউনিয়ন।
১৭ বছর বয়সী আসাদুল মোল্লা আক্রমণভাগের ফুটবলার। ৫ লাখ টাকার ভিত্তিমূল্যের এই ফুটবলারকে নিয়েও আগ্রহ ছিল একাধিক দলের। তাকে ৭ লাখ ৭৫ হাজার টাকায় পেয়েছে আবাহনী লিমিটেড।
বয়সভিত্তিক জাতীয় দলের অধিনায়কত্ব করেছেন ইমরান খান। তবে তাকে নিয়ে তেমন আগ্রহ ছিল না দলগুলোর। ৪ লাখ টাকা ভিত্তি মূল্যেই তাকে কিনেছে ব্রাদার্স ইউনিয়ন। ফরোয়ার্ড সিরাজুল ইসলাম রানাকেও ভিত্তি মূল্য ৪ লাখেই পেয়ে যায় ব্রাদার্স। ১৯ বছর বয়সী মিডফিল্ডার সাজেদ হাসান জুম্মন নিঝুমকে ৭ লাখ ২৫ টাকায় দলে টানে ফর্টিস।
নিলামে উত্তেজনা ছড়িয়েছে লেফটব্যাক আজিজুল হক অনন্তকে ঘিরে। ৫ লাখ টাকার ভিত্তিমূল্যে তাঁকে কিনে নেয় ব্রাদার্স ইউনিয়ন। কিন্তু নিলাম পরিচালনাকারী চূড়ান্ত সংকেত দেওয়ার পর মোহামেডান দাবি করে তারাও দাম হাকিয়েছিল। এই ইস্যুতেই গরম হয়ে ওঠে নিলাম। ‘চলে যাওয়ার’ কথা বলেন মোহামেডানের কর্মকর্তারা। আলোচনার পর ব্রাদার্সের সম্মতিতে আজিজুলের বিড ‘স্থগিত’ করা হয়। পরে নিলামে আজিজুলকে নিয়ে ব্রাদার্স ও মোহামেডানের মধ্যে জমে ওঠে ‘লড়াই।’ ১০ লাখে তাকে দলে টানে ব্রাদার্স।
গোপীবাগের দলটি ১৭ বছর বয়সী ফরোয়ার্ড সুমন সরেনকে ভিত্তি মূল্য ৪ লাখে কিনে নেয়।
গোলরক্ষক মো. আসিফকে নিয়ে এরচেয়েও তীব্র লড়াই হয়েছে গত লীগের শীর্ষ দুই দল বসুন্ধরা কিংস ও আবাহনীর মধ্যে। শুরুতে ব্রাদার্স আগ্রহ দেখালেও ধীরে ধীরে আসিফের দাম বাড়িয়ে তোলে বসুন্ধরা ও আবাহনী। লিগ শিরোপার জন্য দুই দলের লড়াইয়ের মতো এবারও বিজয়ী বসুন্ধরা। ১৩ লাখ ২৫ হাজার টাকায় আসিফকে আবাহনী থেকে কেড়ে নেয় বসুন্ধরা।
