Saudi Travel earlier this year: Learning about Saudi Arabia History & Saudi Culture at the National Museum Riyadh Saudi Arabia [Best travel destinations in 2021] This Saudi Arabia travel video episode features Riyadh city tour to the National Museum in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. If you are wondering to which places to go in Riyadh, this is a must see in my opinion. The museum is a super modern and very well curated place to offer insights on Saudi Arabia's culture and history. From the early beginnings of mankind to the times of early Islam in Medina, to the birth of the state of Saudi Arabia, up to today's modern Kingdom, the museum offers in-depth perspectives in 7 exhibitions. If you plan to visit Saudi Arabia, this museum is a must see starting point to provide a sound grounding and lots of useful background information on your visits throughout the country. My favorite exhibition was the one on the two holy cities, Mecca and Medina, with amazing models of the massive expansions of the two holy mosques of Islam and the overall haram history. The haram expansion project in Mecca and the Masjid An Nabawi models are huge and provide a great perspective for those who plan to travel there - or just want to get a sense of what is happening in the two holy cities of Islam. So if Saudi Arabia is part of your Middle East travel plans and you are ready to go on a Riyadh Saudi Arabia tour, check out the National Museum Riyadh. I recommend factoring in at least 2 hours, although you could spend much more time there. Entrance is cheap at only SAR 10 (~US$2.50).
