Putting in long hours at the office can lead to the top, but also to increased stress and even health problems. In Japan, some people are working themselves to death.  Are other parts of the world heading that way too?

In Japan there's a word for working to death. It's 'Karoshi' and it's officially recognised as a cause of loss of life. A spate of deaths has forced the Japanese government to review labour laws. As working hours increase in other countries, should Japan be seen as a cautionary tale?

At the Roundtable was William Burrows who is a retirement director at the financial consultancy firm, Better Retirement; Stress expert and managing director of HeartMath UK, Gavin Andrews; Author of 'Time Management for Dummies' and productivity coach, Clare Evans; And Professor of Organisational Psychology and Health from Manchester University, Cary Cooper.

Roundtable is a discussion programme with an edge. Broadcast out of London and presented by David Foster, it's about bringing people to the table, listening to every opinion, and analysing every point of view. From fierce debate to reflective thinking, Roundtable discussions offer a different perspective on the issues that matter to you. Watch it every weekday at 15:30 GMT on TRT World.
