Root Tip Resection with retrograde Filling

The root tip resection with retrograde filling is a surgical removal of the root tip the cleaning of the dental canal from below, thus from the root ending-also called retrograde apex sealing. Please see the reasons of a RTR in the video root tip resection. A retrograde cleaning and sealing of the canal always happen if no access from above, thus from the crown, is possible. E.g. in the case of pivot teeth, break of root treatment instruments and curved and badly root treated teeth. Then an instrumental cleaning and renovation is performed from below-root-wards. This procedure thus called root tip resection with retrograde filling, or retrograde apex sealing.
