IMPERATOR: ROME is WAY BETTER than you remember

Imperator: Rome was all but abandoned as Paradox Interactive shelved the project. This was meant to be one of the great grand strategy games, alongside EU4, CK3, VIctoria 3 and HOI4... but what went wrong? Today, I'm giving it a go having not played it since release - giving Carthage and Athens a whirl. What I found was... a surprisingly good game that I'm actually really hoping I'll revisit!
