In this video, I'll show you how to a make simple Led Chaser circuit using IC CD 4017 & demonstration. CD4017 IC is a decade counter which counts from 1 to 10. It counts 1 value for 1 clock pulse. For clock pulse, you can use any clock pulse generator.

This is the circuit of a simple LED chaser. The LEDs lights one by one for a period of 1second and the cycle repeats giving the running light appearance. The circuit uses two ICs (one is 555) to drive the LEDs. IC1 (NE555) is the popular timer IC wired in the stable Multi vibrator mode.
