HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket
HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) is a lightweight, mobile rocket artillery system developed by the American company Lockheed Martin. It is capable of launching a variety of missiles and rockets, at targets up to 300 km away. HIMARS is highly mobile and can be rapidly deployed to provide fire support to ground troops, as well as to strike enemy targets in depth. It has been used extensively by the United States and its allies in conflicts such as the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan.
