What makes the Red Sea so important to geopolitics, energy, trade -- and potentially global conflict?  Dr. Karen E. Young, Senior Research Scholar at the Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy, explains that the Red Sea Corridor is “an important choke point” for oil and other commodities, as well as being the site of great power competition between nations including the United States and China.
