To use #Snapshot:
Step 1: If you have not previously installed #VMware, refer to the videos below.
Windows ➦ How to Install VMware Workstation 14 ...
Linux ➦ How to Install VMware Workstation 14 ...
Step 2: After installing it, create a new virtual machine and install a Windows, Linux, or macOS operating system on the virtual machine that you created.
Step 3: You can use Snapshot to back up a virtual machine. The Snapshot feature in VMware saves you time. You can compare Snapshot to the "System Restore" feature used in Windows operating systems.
Step 4: Shut down the virtual machine before taking a Snapshot. (You can also get Snapshot when the virtual machine is running.)
Step 5: After you shut down the VM, click on the Take Snapshot button from the menu.
Step 6: In the Take Snapshot window, type a name and description to back up the snapshot status of the virtual machine. Type in detailed information about the description of Snapshot.
Step 7: Click on the Take Snapshot button to start the process.
Step 8: After clicking it, the window will close.
Step 9: Now click on Snapshot Manager to check the Snapshot you created.
Step 10: You can see a backup of the virtual machine on the Snapshot Manager.
Step 11: Changes to the virtual machine will not affect Snapshot!
Step 12: Install a program as an example to test it.
Step 13: Power off the VM and now open Snapshot Manager again.
Step 14: Select the backup you created to restore the VM and click Go To.
Step 15: Start the virtual machine.
Step 16: After running the VM, you will see that you have no programs installed!
