Pediatric Surgery Tour (Under Age Eight)

In this video, we will show you and your child around the hospital.  This will help your family know what to expect on the day of surgery. You will see pictures and videos of the preoperative (before surgery) room, the operating room and recovery (after surgery) area.  You will learn about how your child will fall asleep.  You will see what it’s like going back to the operating room.  We will cover what your child may experience in the recovery area. This video is designed for children eight years and younger because it does not show getting an IV.  Most younger children will be getting a breathing mask to help fall asleep before the IV start.
