In this episode of Men’s Locker Room, we’re in conversation with Ikka, also known as the “Lyrical God” in the Indian Rap Scene. Ankit Singh Patyal, aka Ikka (@ikka_artist) , is an Indian rapper and lyricist who’s made some of the most catchy songs like Woh, RapMan among others and is one of the most popular musicians of India.
Ikka talks about his friendship with Lil Golu & Raftaar and also his Mafia Mundeer journey, working with Honey Singh (@YoYoHoneySingh) and how he learnt the art of making music from him. He further talks about his love for comics and Indian Superheroes and how he portrayed it through his song- Rapman. He also goes on to tell why he left Mafia Mundeer, getting to meet and work with Punjabi and Bollywood artists and how he finds Diljit Dosanjh very hardworking and an inspiration.
Ikka speaks about his friendship with MC Stan, Badshah and Seedhe Maut and also talks about his comparison with Bohemia. As the conversation flows, he also elaborates on the importance of saving money and fulfilling his responsibilities, and how it gave him a sense of achievement.
