The Istanbul Metro (Turkish: İstanbul metrosu) is a system of high-speed urban, mainly underground passenger transport in the largest city of Turkey, Istanbul. It consists of 9 lines with 101 stations, 7 lines are located in the European part of the city, and 2 lines are in the Asian part. Opened September 3, 1989.
