(70cm) square Tant Song: Love Mode by Joakim Karud This koi fish was designed by Robert Lang and has a total of 400 scales! The design is in his book, "Origami Design Secrets," which I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in designing origami. His book has full diagrams for the koi fish without scales and instructions on how to fold the scales separately, as well as how to graft them onto the pattern. The actual combination of all these methods that achieves a koi fish with scales is left as an exercise for the reader. After folding the fish pattern first (without the scales), I folded a small scale pattern and then decided I was ready to embark on the full model. It was a massive undertaking that took roughly 11.5 hours to fold, but it was well worth the effort. I'm sorry the camera loses focus for a little bit in the middle of the video. I didn't find out until I was completely finished and was ready to edit the video, and there's no way I'm going to fold this model again any time s
