Hanumante Khola Corridor Latest Update;
Hanumante Khola Corridor Latest Update; This is one among many river corridors inside Kathmandu Valley which lies in Bhaktapur District.
Hanumante River, is important for Bhaktapur and comes in highlight time and again. Sometimes because of flood and sometimes because of encroachment, flows through all four municipalities of Bhaktapur District namely, Changunarayan, Bhaktapur, Suryabinayak and Madhyapur Thimi. Is around 8 Km long, necessary to manage it to address the issues of the flood, encroachment, and greenery, taken with special consideration to make Bhaktapur beautiful we will be focused on this topic today.
with increasing unplanned urbanisation and growing population and increasing pressure of vehicles entering Kathmandu Valley via Bhaktapur traffic management becoming a big challenge this Hanumante and other rivers connecting it if managed in time this can be a boon for traffic management.
flooding issues is increasing in many parts of Bhaktapur every year during monsoon damaging lives and property and people are in stress that it will keep increasing and every year, Hanumante encroachment issue is also increasing, Hanumante corridor can be a solution for both encroachment and flooding issue.
with unplanned urbanisation issue of drainage, pollution, the unlively city is arising. Hanumante Corridor can be a solution for these problems also, as plantation will be done on both sides, parks will be constructed, rest areas will be built and drainage system along will corridor will be constructed so that sewage cannot be mixed in it and it may remain clean
16 KM long corridor will be constructed in this around 8Km long river according to HPCIDBC, this can be executed in a different phase in Hanumante Corridor. Radhe Radhe to Madhyapur was started from last FY, Sallaghari to Radhe Radhe, Madhyapur to Balkot to Balkumari is started from this FY, according to HPCIDBC this will be 8m wide blacktopped road, 1-2 m footpath on both sides of the corridor 2 lane road in both sides can be a big relief for the traffic of Kathmandu Valley.
after success and positive response of Bagmati, Dhobikhola, Bishnumati corridor now Hanumante corridor is also in priority. Development and Technology committee also has shown interest in its development and has performed on-site visit also.
Lama Samanantar JV is doing construction work in Sallaghari Bridge to Radhe Radhe Bridge and Chardobato Bridge to Balkot Bridge. Kalika Construction is performing construction from Balkot to Balkumari we wish timely completion of this highly important multidimensional corridor and may people of this area be benefitted from this in time
