I was impressed with the price compared to the other caravan parks around. So other wise it was the cheapest there.. But cheap is still good. The good thing about this caravan park its close to a lot around Mt Isa. Please visit the visitor centre while you are there. The Visitor Centre is a MUST guys. The park had a pool and it was keep in pristine condition. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Some sites are quite large and other sites are smaller and most of the sites are level and if they are not level, they are not out by much. Please remember there is not much grass out there, so it’s a little bit of a dust bowl. The camp kitchen is equipped with everything you need and its under cover. There are tables to sit at while you are cooking. The laundry mat is pretty small, it has only two washing machines but both of them are 10kg each and the big thing is they are FREE. Now that’s a bonus! The caravan has a small dump point but there is a very large dump point in town and it houses drinking water as well. Most of the sites are powered sites and they only have 2/3 unpowered sites. Bit it depends on what time of year you are going there and if you are going in the hot time of the year…GET POWERED.. It gets really really hot out there. The caravan Park is in a great location, its on the outer rim of town by its the closest to Moondarra Lake which is a must if you fish.. The shops are only a few Km away. Remember it might Not be in Walking distance. But if you are up to it, Go for it.. it will do you good. The Toilet Block is a old-ish block but it’s kept clean and stocked up.. Please remember to ask to see if the water is OK to drink out there, last time I was there we couldn’t drink the water. So Please ask when you get there. And I will be going back there..
