High Gothic Reims Cathedral, France (Antiquitech Superstructure?) Clovis I, French Kings, Reset

Howdy ya’ll. Many viewers love the videos discussing old world architecture; and thus, today we will be looking at the Reims Cathedral in Reims, France. This immense superstructure has a vast history which dates back to Gallic-Roman times, with the cathedral we see today sitting directly over the remains of an ancient crypt and Roman bath.

Today we will look at the oldest photographs I could find of Reims Cathedral. The Cathedral has been enlarged, renovated, damaged, and rebuilt multiple times, including the most recent coming after the near complete destruction of the structure during WWI. The Cathedral was then excavated, renovated, and rebuilt mainly using funds from the American Rockefeller Foundation. We will discuss the implications of the history, and focus on key components found within the cathedral.
