"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am reporting: in the next years we will be introducing this very useful humanoid robot on a large scale!" - shouted Elon Musk, the American engineer, innovator, economist and investor of South African origin, a few weeks ago, when he publicly presented the prototype of his robot, previously only known as Tesla Bot, and finally named Optimus, and even two versions of it. Musk according to him, the current human-like robots lack a brain, they are not independent enough, they are very expensive, and moreover, they are produced in too small a number. Optimus weighs about 73 kilograms, is equipped with a 2.3 kilowatt-hour, 52-volt battery, which is enough for eight hours of work a day, its components are based on the hardware that operates the self-driving technology of Tesla cars, but its software is also a modified version of the AI ​​used by cars. Musk's robot's body has 28 directions of movement, and its hands have another 11. At the event, a video was shown showing the robot performing simple tasks: watering plants, carrying boxes and lifting small metal rods. Although there is still a lot to improve on Optimus, according to Musk, mass production will start within a few years, and its price will be around 20,000 dollars, which - according to this time - corresponds to 8 million hungarian forints. According to its owner, over time, his company will be able to earn much more from the sale of robots than from the car business. The well-known automotive journalist Gábor Bazsó also reported on all this in detail on his YouTube channel, with a passion that swept us off our feet, and of course we invited him to the Friderikusz Podcast, where he shed light on why Elon Musk's humanoid robot is not a humbug with the same passion.
