“This invention, created and patented by the research group of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of “Politecnico di Torino” in collaboration with “Università di TorVergata”, arises from the need to process a lot of data in a short time within memories.
In fact, the technology proposes a new intelligent memory, magnetic non-volatile racetrack type, capable of carrying out elementary logic functions directly on the stored data, without the need to rely on circuits external to the memory itself, thus implementing functions that a normal memory is not able to execute.
The research group is made up of Marco Vacca, Fabrizio Riente and Giovanna Turvani (DET, Politecnico di Torino) and Marco Ottavi (Università di TorVergata)”
