Oman Oil Tanker Capsized: Rescue
Oman Oil Tanker Capsized: Rescue operations are in full swing off the coast of Oman following the capsize of the Comoros-flagged oil tanker MT Prestige Falcon. The incident, which occurred approximately 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah near Duqm, has already seen nine crew members rescued, including eight Indians and one Sri Lankan national but one crew member was found dead. The Indian Embassy in Muscat, in coordination with Omani authorities and the Indian Navy, has deployed warship INS Teg and a P-18 maritime surveillance aircraft to locate and rescue the remaining 16 missing crew members.
