After our last, a-hem, sketchy docking attempt, we knew that we needed to get back out there are continue to practice, practice, practice.  We arrived at the boat but seems we forgot to invite the wind initially.  What a great time to rig up our spinnaker.  A spinnaker is a lightweight sail (think of that parachute like thing you played with in 2nd grade gym class) that is used for sailing in lighter wind – and most are brightly colored.  We’d never flown the spinnaker but thought this day would be perfect for it.

The Navy Blue Angels were scheduled for practice this particular morning, so it was a perfect opportunity to get close to the Naval Air Station in Pensacola and check them out as well.  The weather was great, but the storms were brewing as we turned back toward the marina.  Our docking was MUCH better this time, but we still acknowledge that we need to practice docking in all types of conditions.
