If you've visited Houston, Texas and tried the Vietnamese style of Cajun seafood boil, then you know what I'm talking about! Easy delicious seafood boil you can make at home with lemongrass, fish sauce, cajun flavours - it's absolutely finger lickin' good. #seafoodboil #seafood

VIET-CAJUN SEAFOOD BOIL RECIPE:

Cajun Butter
- 1 lb salted butter
- 2 heads garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup minced lemon grass
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/3 cup cajun spice mix
- 1 lemon, juiced

Cajun Spice Mix
- ¾ cup Old Bay / Slap Your Mama seasoning
- 1/3 cup smoked paprika
- ¼ cup sugar
- 4 tbsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp ground pepper
- 1 tbsp thyme

Seafood Boil
- Large pot filled 50% with water
- 3 lemons
- 1 whole onion, quartered
- 4 heads of whole garlic
- 1” knob of ginger, sliced
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 stalks of lemongrass
- Cajun spice mix
- 1 cup fish sauce
- 2 tbsp tabasco

Seafood Boil Add-ins:
- 1 lb mini potatoes (10 minutes)
- 2 Dungeness crab (20 minutes)
- 2 lbs crawfish (5 minutes)
- 1 lb smokie sausages (5 minutes)
- 1 lb clams, soaked in cold water and drained to remove excess dirt (5 – 10 minutes)
- 1 lb jumbo tiger shrimp (2-3 minutes)
- 1 lb shrimp (2-3 minutes)
- 4 corn on the cob, cut into 1/3 pieces (turn off the heat)
