The Volkswagen concern presented the updated eighth generation Golf model. This will be the last Golf with gasoline engines: it will be replaced by an electric car. The car debuted in hatchback and station wagon versions. The Germans also showed several sports modifications of the Golf with the GTI and GTE indices.
The Golf has been at the heart of the Volkswagen brand for half a century: affordable mobility for everyone at the highest technical level. It has constantly adapted to customer needs and has become a global bestseller, says Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer.
