President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Paratrooper Manchu

The President presented Shaurya Chakra to Paratrooper  Manchu, 12th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces). He displayed raw courage, presence of mind under heavy fire, initiative and determination of very high order and saved lives of his fellow squad members.


The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, presented Gallantry Awards and Distinguished Service Decorations at the Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 23, 2018.
