When Dodge customers asked for a muscle car that could go fast in a straight line and handle the corners, they did not resort to torque vectoring, all-wheel drive, or electronic stability control. Instead Dodge fitted fatter tires and a stiffer suspension on the 707 horsepower Hellcat.  The 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody is true to its name with massive fender flares that contain 305 section PirelliP Zero Summer tires.

The Quick Order Package 25Z SRT Widebody Option costs an additional $6000 with the upgraded Pirelli P305/35ZR20 P Zero Summer tires costing an extra $695. The Option includes: 2.62 Rear Axle Ratio, Wheels: 20" x 11.0" Devil's Rim Aluminum, Tires: P305/35ZR20 (107Y) AS Performance, Electric Power Steering, and Widebody Fender Flares.

Under the hood is a Supercharged 6.2 Liter Hemi V-8 engine that makes 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The transmission on the model tested here is a 6-speed manual.
How does the Challenger Hellcat Widebody measure up to the Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE and the Ford Mustang GT350R? The Hellcat Widebody is more expensive but has more horsepower than both. The Camaro ZL1 is quicker to 60 MPH and the Mustang GT350R grips better. On a race track the competitors are up to European levels of sports car precision but the Hellcat is true to the muscle car moniker.
