Within Indonesia is a very dangerous volcano from which one of the world's most unique gemstones is mined. This gemstone is known as bumblebee jasper and is mined from the active volcano known as Mount Papandayan. The layer it is mined from was only exposed after a large section of the volcano collapsed in 1772. Since then, the volcano has erupted several more times, producing large explosion craters and creating additional landslides. Today, this volcano is a tourist attraction, but becomes a danger to everyone in a vast radius of its summit whenever even the smallest of eruptions occur.
