Digimon Masters Online is an MMORPG on Steam, where players take on the roll of Tamers and go through a large digital world with their Digimon Partners. The game is heavily based on season five of the Digimon anime, and lets you start by playing as any of the four main protagonists from that season. The game also offers in game transactions to be able to play as characters from other seasons of the Digimon anime, such as Tai or Matt from season one.
Digimon Masters Online features a quest based playing system where the player is constantly offered different quests to gather items, defeat digimon, or deliver items. The combat system is based around having your digimon face off against another, using special moves during the battle to fight. Digimon can also digivolve during combat using the tamer's SP power to their champion, ultimate, or mega forms. Some Digimon can even go further into mode changes or Ultra Digivolutions.
