Raleigh DL-1 roadster rod brake 28" wheel policeman bobby bike Brooks saddle

My restored vintage Raleigh popular police bike with Brooks saddle fully enclosed chainguard and rod brakes. Not that old really as this one is a 1979 with 1973 running gear i.e. rear wheel chainguard crank arms and oversized commercial chain. this was chainged to give me the rear wheel dynamo to run the sturmey archer lights but while i was at it i fancied the comercial chain which is much stronger hence the crank change. This bike is used every day to cycle to work 8 miles unless it is raining hard because there is far too much chrome to get tarnished. I have had loads of these old rod brake bikes and think the Raleighs are hard to beat on quality, this 28 inch wheel version absolutely bombs along and you have got to try one if you never have as this would definately lead to a purchase, have other bikes on youtube but are downhill mountain bike and BMX which I love but nothing beats this Raleigh for cruising the roads.
