CLOSED! London's ONLY open foot crossing is set to close!

Such sad and disappointing news. Network rail have given just over one weeks notice of the imminent closure of the Angerstein Wharf freight railway foot crossing on Saturday 13th April 2019, one of London's last surviving foot crossing. The crossing is located in Charlton in the London borough of Greenwich and is a used daily by people living around Fairthorn Road. The alternative route to Westcombe Park Station is to walk down Fairthorn Road, along the Woolwich Road and up Farmdale Road to the bridge crossing the A102.
