BGV teams coming onto the field. LV teams walking onto the field to start a Cup Final. SV towards, teams walking past camera. GV mass crowd. SV West Bromwich Captain Len Millard shakes hands with the referee and shakes hands with Preston Captain Tom Finney. SV Queen Mother and Princess Margaret in Royal Box watching. BGV West Bromwich in striped shirts kick off. SV centre forward, Allen kicks pas the centre line at Preston, chased by another footballer. Goalie Thompson collects and clears. SV crowd. SV play in midfield with West Bromwich making a passing movement to team-mates. Ball goes out to Nicholls who passes out to Lee. He dribbles with ball up field and passes to centre but Preston's Cunningham intercepts. SV Goalie Thompson preparing to save ball. Ball comes into picture and goalie Thompson saves and clears. SV Midfield play with West Bromwich Ronnie Allen passing to centre. Ball collected by Ryan of West Brom. Preston intercepts. Passing movement by Preston but ball is collected by Barlow. He tries a forward movement but is intercepted again. Preston collect and pass out to Finney who is intercepted by West Brom. Finney still with ball, is intercepted by another West Bromwich team mate, who starts to attack with ball (lead up for goal). SV crowd. SV West Bromwich's Lee with Cunningham of Preston running for ball but Lee passes over to Allen in front of Preston goal and Allen bangs it in the net for West Bromwich to score. LV players congratulating. GV mass crowd cheering. STV Preston kick off. SV ball being kicked backwards and forwards until Preston's left half centres. Angus Morrison heads ball into net. GV mass crowd cheering. SV West Brom's No 10 near Preston's goal mouth, being intercepted by Preston man but West Bromwich Nicholls passes to Lee. Lee tries to shoot at goal, but at the same time is intercepted by Preston man. Ball goes loose and is collected by Tommy Docherty. He passes out to Finney and Finney starts to run with ball. SV crowd. SV Finney dribbling up field past West Bromwich man. He passes ball to team mate, who passes ball back to Finney, but Finney is intercepted, and ball goes loose. GV crowd.
GV kick-off, second half. LV West Bromwich attack, but Preston defence break it up. SCU crowd. SV Charlie Wayman is stopped by Kennedy, and with Dugdale backing him up, West Bromwich clear their lines but a quick pass send Preston on the attack again, lead for off side goal. SCU crowd. SV Wayman running through with ball as West Bromwich appeal for offside, he draws Sanders out of goal, dribbles round him and crashes ball into empty net. Pan, Preston congratulating as West Bromwich protest to referee. SCU crowd applauding. LV Preston attacking, free kick taken. Foster tries a snap shot as the ball is headed to his feet. SV Sanders making a flying save and clearing up field. LV West Bromwich attack and as a centre crosses the goal, goalkeeper makes an acrobatic save from his own inside, forward to Foster who had dropped back to help in defence. SV Thompson picking himself up. LV Griffin taking corner. SV Thompson jumping to save, and clearing up field. SV crowd. LV West Bromwich attacking. Lead to penalty incident. Barlow racing through with ball, Tommy Docherty brings him down at penalty area, referee points to spot. SV Barlow picks himself up and consoles Tommy Docherty. SV tense crowd. SV Ronnie Allen running up, kicks and scores. Thompson touches but cannot stop it. SV Queen Mother excited - score 2-2. SV West Bromwich playing attractive football, Allen rooming on the wing receives, centres, Thompson runs out, collects and clears. LV crowd cheering. LV West Bromwich pressing. Nicholls is hurt in collision with Thompson. SV Nicholls laying on ground, Allen limps up to help him. LV West Bromwich attacking. Thompson drops ball but it is scrambled away. SV Thompson running back to goal. LV Griffin racing goalwards, he shoots from an acute angle to score winning goal. Pan, players congratulating. LV crowd. LV teams shaking hands at end of game.
