Yet another drivers eye view, this time on The Grand Junction, one of the earliest railways to open in the UK dating from 1837. We shall be riding on one of the hourly services from Birmingham to Liverpool on board an eight coach Class 350 Desiro EMU which actually travels over the majority of the Grand Junction from Bushbury Junction to Weaver Junction, 54 miles in length.

The first part takes us over the Stour Valley line from Birmingham to Wolverhampton, then onto the Grand Junction and finally onto lines built by the LNWR and St. Helens Railway around Liverpool. All filmed on a bright hot sunny day and showing the entire 88 mile journey in real time. Narration is included to talk about the historical importance of the route as well as other points of interest from the past, present and future.

Sit back and enjoy the ride on this amazing journey. Please like, comment and subscribe to this channel so that I can bring you more drivers eye views for the future.
