A High-Risk Giraffe Sedation | Magic of Disney’s Animal kingdom | National Geographic WILD UK

Today, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, tensions are high as the dedicated zookeepers are preparing to sedate Lilly the Giraffe -  a potentially life threatening procedure. If Lilly’s neck kinks during the induction of anaesthesia, her airways could become impaired. It is therefore essential that the team work together to ensure her neck stays elevated at all times.
