Pipeline (2: Instruction Registers) - Making an 8 Bit pipelined CPU - Part 9

In this video I build out the instruction registers that shift instructions down the pipeline. I look at the 74LS164 shift register initially but use the 73HCT574's to do a similar job 8 bits at a time.

This video came out shorter than expected (that's a first!), in part due to using lots of fast forward in editing on the actual wiring. I had to cut and shape 60+ wires for this video but I think the result was worth it.

On the dim LED's at the bottom, I did find a power connection problem which when resolved restored most of the brightness but I suspect driving 2 sets of LED's from the same outputs is still an issue. That will resolve itself naturally in the next piece of development as we add some logic to the fetch unit.
