The charity is called ASRI. It’s a hospital in Borneo that provides affordable health care to villages on the edge of a national park in return for a pledge not to cut down trees, The pledges are monitored, and the result is a dramatic decrease in deforestation rates and an increase in the health of the local population. The founders are hoping to spread the idea to other countries. (see https://psmag.com/social-justice/save... for an explanation of their work.)

0:00 -- Suspiciousobservers video is here: Yale's Two Climate Bombs

00:54 -- A huge amount of research has been done on the mechanism of glacial cycles over the last 50 years, and it’s not possible to list it all here. A basic glaciology or quaternary geology texbook will summarize the research. If you want to go through the papers, here are some that I used in my video “The 800-year lag unravelled”:
"Timing of Atmospheric CO2 and Antarctic Temperature Changes Across Termination III" -- Caillon et al, Science 2003
"Global warming preceded by increasing carbon dioxide concentrations during the last deglaciation" -- Jeremy D. Shakun, Nature 2012
"The ice-core record: climate sensitivity and future greenhouse warming" -- C. Lorius et al., Nature 1990
"CO2 record in the Byrd ice core 50,000 -- 5,000 years BP" A Neftel et al., Nature 1988
"CO2-climate relationship as deduced from the Vostok ice core" -- Barnola et al, Tellus 1991
"Investigations of Milankovitch and the quaternary curve of effective solar radiation" -- Wenceslas S. Jardetzky, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, vol 95, pp. 418--423
"A time-dependent climatic feedback system involving sea-ice extent, ocean temperature and CO2" -- Satltzman and Moritz, Tellus 1980
"Tightened constraints on the time-lag between Antarctic temperature and CO2 during the last deglaciation" -- J. B. Pedro, Climate of the Past, 2012
“Rapid changes in the mechanism of ocean convection during the last glacial period”
-- TM Dokken, E Jansen - Nature, 1999 –
“A sea ice climate switch mechanism for the 100‐kyr glacial cycles” --
H Gildor, E Tziperman - Journal of Geophysical Research …, 2001
“On the timing and mechanism of millennial-scale climate variability during the last glacial cycle”
E Rohling, P Mayewski, P Challenor - Climate Dynamics, 2003
